Browsing and search
Search runs in your browser against a public resource index. Search terms can appear in the page URL when you use the full search page. Page navigations may prefetch other pages of this site when you hover over a link. There is no service worker. Optional Google Analytics is loaded only after you explicitly accept analytics; rejecting it does not restrict access to the site.
Optional Google Analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-K3R5572H3T), provided by Google Ireland Limited, to understand visits and improve this site. Google receives usage and connection information such as visited page URLs, page titles, referrers, device and browser information, and your IP address during transmission. Enhanced Measurement may record interactions such as scrolling, outbound links, downloads, and searches. Do not enter personal information into site searches or share it in URLs.
Analytics uses first-party cookies, including _ga and _ga_K3R5572H3T, to distinguish browsers and sessions. Google's default cookie lifetime can be up to two years and may be refreshed on visits. Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled here; advertising storage and advertising-data consent remain denied. Google may process information outside the EU, including in the US. The legal basis for optional analytics and its cookies is your consent. Before acceptance, this site does not load the Google tag, send analytics requests, or queue earlier visits for later reporting. Your choice is saved in local storage under cs2.analytics-consent.v1 until you change it or clear site data. If storage is blocked, the choice lasts only in the current page session. Use Cookie settings in the footer to change your choice. Rejecting after acceptance removes this site's GA cookies and reloads the page without the tag. If saving rejection fails, we first remove the old stored permission. Only if that also fails, a first-party cookie named cs2.analytics-denied.v1 remembers rejection for up to one year; it contains no identifier and overrides the old permission. Explicit acceptance clears this fallback cookie. If the browser blocks both storage changes and this cookie, analytics stays disabled in the current page without an automatic reload; clear this site's data before reloading to remove the old permission. Withdrawal stops future collection but does not delete data already sent to Google.
Player tools
Crosshair settings can be shared as a CS2 share code inside a URL fragment (the part after #), which is not sent in the page request. Downloaded configs are saved by your browser. Sensitivity calculations, share-code imports, and quiz answers stay in the current page; these tools do not send your input to a server or use browser storage.
Reading preferences
When you change the text size in an article, this site saves that preference in your browser’s local storage. It is used only to restore your chosen size on other articles and is not sent to a server. You can remove it by clearing this site’s browser data. Collection searches, filters, sorting, and view choices appear in the URL so you can share the same results.
Feeds
The RSS and JSON feeds contain public article summaries only. Your feed reader requests them like any other page.
Hosting
Your browser requests pages, images, and fonts from the website host. The hosting provider may process connection information, including your IP address and requested URL, to serve and protect the website. Deployment-specific details should be confirmed with the operator.
Contact and external links
Contact links open your own email application. External websites have their own privacy practices. No external videos or social widgets are loaded automatically by this site.
