CS2 Wallbang Spots: The Best Wallbang Positions on Every Map
5 min read
What Is Wallbanging in CS2?
Wallbanging is the technique of shooting through penetrable surfaces to damage or kill enemies behind cover. CS2 has a detailed penetration system where bullet damage depends on the material type, thickness, and weapon used. Learning key wallbang spots gives you kills that most players think are impossible.
How Penetration Works
- Material types: Thin wood is most penetrable, followed by thin metal, drywall, and concrete. Thick concrete and stone are impenetrable.
- Weapon matters: Rifles and AWP penetrate better than pistols and SMGs. The AK-47 and AWP are the best wallbang weapons.
- Damage reduction: Bullets lose damage as they pass through surfaces. A headshot through a thin wall might deal 60-80 damage instead of the full 100+.
- Multiple surfaces: Bullets can penetrate multiple thin surfaces but each one reduces damage further.
Dust2 Wallbangs
Mid Doors
The most famous wallbang in CS2. Both mid doors are penetrable by all weapons. T-side can spam through the doors to hit CTs crossing to B, and CTs can shoot through to hit Ts pushing mid.
A Site Boxes
Many of the wooden boxes on A site are penetrable. If you see bullet impacts on a box, spam through it to hit the player hiding behind it.
B Site Doors
The double doors on B site can be wallbanged with rifles. Useful for post-plant situations when you know a CT is behind the doors.
Mirage Wallbangs
Mid Window
The walls around the mid window (sniper nest) can be spammed with the AWP. If you know the enemy AWPer is in window, shoot through the wall next to it.
B Apartments
Several walls in B apartments are thin wood. If you hear enemies moving through apps, spam through the walls for easy damage.
A Site Palace
The walls of palace near the A site entrance are partially penetrable. Useful for both Ts pushing through and CTs holding the angle.
Inferno Wallbangs
Banana Walls
Parts of the banana corridor walls are penetrable. If you hear enemies behind the first oranges, spam through with an AK for chip damage.
B Site Construction
The thin walls around construction on B site allow wallbangs. After the bomb is planted, shoot through construction walls to prevent CT defusers.
Nuke Wallbangs
Floor/Ceiling Between A and B
The floor of A site is the ceiling of B site, and many sections are penetrable. This is Nuke unique vertical wallbang mechanic. If you hear enemies below you on A site, aim at the floor and spray.
Squeaky Door
The vent door (squeaky) on Nuke is fully penetrable. If you hear someone opening squeaky, pre-fire through the door.
General Wallbang Tips
- Use sound cues: Listen for footsteps and shoot through walls toward the sound source
- Aim at head level: Even through walls, headshots deal more damage
- Use high-penetration weapons: AK-47, AWP, and Desert Eagle are the best wallbang weapons
- Check the bullet holes: If your bullets leave decals on the far side of a wall, it is penetrable
- Do not waste ammo: Wallbanging with an SMG or Glock is usually not worth the ammo
- Practice offline: Use

Conclusion
Wallbanging is a skill that gives you kills other players cannot get. Learn 2-3 key wallbang spots per map, listen for audio cues, and use the right weapons. The difference between a good player and a great player is often the ability to deal damage through cover when the enemy thinks they are safe.
