Team Spirit has once again cemented its place at the top of the Counter-Strike 2 world with a dominant performance at PGL Astana 2025. In front of a packed Barys Arena in Astana, Kazakhstan, they secured a 3-1 grand final victory over Astralis, claiming their second major tournament win of the year and $200,000 in prize money.
A grand final filled with drama#
The series started with Spirit immediately taking control, winning the first two maps — Dust2 and Nuke — with clinical precision. One of the standout moments came from Danil “donk” Kryshkovets, who pulled off a remarkable 1v4 clutch that ignited both the crowd and social media.
Astralis responded strongly on Mirage, keeping their hopes alive, but it wasn’t enough. Spirit closed out the series on Train in overtime, showing resilience and calm under pressure to lift the trophy.
